It's really a shame, my ZP-NE14-S also stopped working the way I've been using it.
Now, you can access your streams via meshare website or meshare app on android. No more zsight or really great Zviewer application access. It is really frustrating. At home I cannot log into my NVR locally and watch my recordings, yes it's possible by using the NVR hooked up to a monitor or TV, but it's inconvenient especially with the VGA cable. Anyway, right now meshare app works, you can watch your recordings on mobile app, but not on computer/website.
You cannot export recordings, however.
I am thinking about selling my ZP-NE14-S and just picking up a different brand NVR from places like Costco, at least we get better return policy as well as better support/updates that hopefully won't break the advertised functionality of the NVR. I wonder if zmodo userbase is small enough that our complaints don't make much of a difference. I wish I didn't buy this, really great hardware, nice picture quality, flexible setup with sPOE, but sadly bad software design and support, even though zmodo claims it was done for our best interest, securing our devices, etc. etc.. at least the firmware upgrade should have told us that it will break the functionality before we upgraded it.
My guess, and it's really a wild guess here, zmodo did not want 3rd party software from accessing their cameras, things like blueiris, ip cam pro, etc.. by passing the NVR like they could before. Now they are totally locked, with no way to see each other, even in local network we cannot access the cameras using those apps? I don't use them, but I'll check.
